Born and raised in Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, California.
Graduated from Saratoga High School in June of 1971.
Attended University of California at Berkeley.
Participated in the Education Abroad Program in Bordeaux, France, attending the Université de Bordeaux III during the 1973-74 academic year.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of California at Berkeley in 1975.
Worked as a children's camp counselor in France on the island of Noirmoutier during the summer of 1975 following Bachelor's Degree.
Attended San Jose State University in the secondary teaching credential program, student-taught at Saratoga High School during 1975-76 school year.
Received a California Standard Secondary Teaching Credential with a major in French and a minor in Social Sciences in 1976.
Hired as a teacher of French at Ukiah High School, Ukiah California in September, 1976.
With the help of his parents, hand-built his own adobe brick home in the hills overlooking Ukiah, 1977-1984.
Received a Masters Degree in Educational Curriculum from the University of San Francisco in 1983.
Continuously taught all levels of French at Ukiah High School between September, 1976 and June, 2014.
Organized and chaperoned over 25 student group trips to France during his career.
Retired in June of 2014 after 38 years as the teacher of French at Ukiah High School.
Formed Independent Tours with his wife in July, 2014.
Lives with his wife in Ukiah, California. Has a daughter currently in college.
